Scott Backhouse brings end-to-end systems experience to support market ambitions ~
Schenck Process Food and Performance Materials (FPM) today announced the appointment of Scott Backhouse to the sales team of its Performance Materials division. Schenck Process is the market leader for sustainable, integrated process and digital optimisation technology solutions, including the Kemutec and Baker Perkins brands.
Scott will spearhead the growth of turnkey systems provision within performance materials industries such as paint, coatings, and battery production. His responsibilities will cover business development across the EMEA region as well as within global key accounts.
Since starting his career as an apprentice welder at a bulk handling system supplier, Scott has spent sixteen years in manufacturing, developing his broad expertise via roles in technical services, production, sales and aftersales. Scott has spent over 7 years at Schenck Process FPM; in particular, he has specialised in working with complex, integrated bulk handling and materials processing systems.
Asked about the new role, Scott said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to help performance materials customers take advantage of the benefits offered by Schenck Process FPM’s integrated, end-to-end systems. I look forward to working with Kemutec, Baker Perkins, and the wider group to support manufacturers with industry-leading technologies.”

Outside of work, Scott dedicates his spare time to other high-performing teams, as the coach of his daughter’s and son’s football teams.
