As many of our customers face increased production requirements in response to the current global situation, we have been considering ways in which we can provide additional support, particularly on parts.
Changes to the way we work have been necessary in order to protect our employees and we are closely following the daily updates on safe working from the UK and US Governments. Our Customer Services and Design Office teams are home-working; our factories are operating normally while respecting social distancing requirements.
So far, we have been able to avoid any interruption to the supply of spare parts and we are working to ensure that this continues. Parts orders are being prioritized, and we are continually reviewing our stocking levels and increasing our stocks of the most commonly ordered items as needed.
Recommended parts lists available
Holding your own stock of spare parts is one way of keeping production going in the event of a breakdown. Deciding what to hold is not easy, but we have already carried out a lot of work on preparing recommended parts lists for each of our machines.
These comprise the parts that are most likely to be needed, based on our order history, and an engineering analysis of parts where a failure would lead to a reduction in product quality or a line stopping completely.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss any potential concerns related to maintaining continuous production, please contact us for recommendations based on our experience with other customers over recent weeks.
If you are facing increased production requirements in these unusual times, please rest assured that we will support you in whatever way we can while continuing to work safely. This includes 24/7 support in the event of a breakdown. Please contact us at +44 1733 283000 (UK) or +1 616 784 3111 (USA) where you will be directed to our expert Service teams.
