Booking a visit from a Baker Perkins service engineer can pay dividends by improving the operation of your powder coating system.
We offer complete process support over the full lifespan of every extruder. A service visit will involve checking all components on the extruder for wear including the cooling and heating system, screw parts and barrel liners. Replacing parts before they fail lengthens machine lifespan, eliminates costly down time and repair, and ensures that low running costs with high throughput and quality are maintained.
Service engineers will also troubleshoot your process. They can take action to prevent the need for double passing of products, identify and fix sources of cratering and pinholes, and eliminate pre-curing of product in the extruder barrel. They will also check that the barrel screw configuration remains appropriate to your process, and recommend improvements if necessary.
A process refinement service will advise which upgrades, introduced since your extruder was manufactured, will improve your operation.
