Baker Perkins offers facilities for customers to develop new products and processes, produce samples for test marketing, and conduct feasibility trials.  This Innovation Centre contains a wide range of production and laboratory scale equipment dedicated to the biscuit, cookie and cracker industries.

Wide range of equipment

This Innovation Centre contains a wide range of production and laboratory scale equipment dedicated to the biscuit, cookie and cracker industries, including a 50kg horizontal high speed mixer with shaftless blade; a three toll sheeter; gauge rolls; and rotary cutter.

For rotary moulded, sheeted and laminated products there is a 300mm wide flexible forming line feeding a Thermal Performance Research Oven (TPRO): a unique, flexible batch oven that simulates baking conditions of a travelling oven – product development and process tests can be undertaken quickly at minimal cost

Specialty units

The range of equipment is permanently available, and specialty units can be brought in if necessary to complete a process. Alternatively, customers are welcome to bring along their own technologies to integrate within our existing equipment.
