Rotary Cereal Cookers
Baker Perkins continuously develops equipment to improve performance and reduce cost of ownership. Many developments are available as upgrades for existing machinery; they address problems such as insufficient capacity, poor reliability and outdated hygiene standards. Original machine performance can be exceeded, and service life given a worthwhile extension.
Upgrades available for Baker Perkins' Rotary Cereal Cookers include:
Redesigned Slide Valve
A redesigned slide valve is available as a fully integrated retrofit unit to Baker Perkins’ cereal cookers, and as an upgrade to third party cookers where possible. The upgraded valve combines a revised technical design with Baker Perkins’ advanced hygiene standards and the latest good manufacturing processes.
Upgrading from an electro-mechanical to fully automatic control by PLC brings significant benefits. PLC control requires minimal operator intervention. It provides clear process visualisation, plus alarm and recipe management. Pre-heat and Clean-in-Place cycles reduce start up and cleaning time.
This safety device prevents the slide valve opening during operation. It also provides an audible warning if problems occur.
Breaker bars ensure product consistency by preventing lumps forming in the cooker.
