Position Purpose:

  • Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) works on the interface between Schenck Process company and their suppliers. SQE is responsible for transfer Schenck Process´s quality and technical requirements and takes care that suppliers are able to meet the requirements as well as provide with conforming parts only to different global Schenck Process factories.

Key Activities:

  • Review and access suppliers processes by performing onsite audit to evaluate fulfilment of Schenck Process requirements
  • Acceptance of goods at supplier according to technical documentation
  • Drive supplier claims in close cooperation with departments across the international company
  • Support QA / IQC, Purchaser and Sourcing to deal with the supplier claim issue, including replacement and compensation
  • Personal participance on SQE environment development, issuing and administration of SQE directives
  • Communication with internal stakeholders globally
  • Transfer quality end technical requirements to supplier, introduce and evaluate quality tools
  • Drive improvement process at supplier with focus on quality and delivery performance
  • Ensure all production critical issues are resolved with suppliers in a timely manner, and corrective actions are implemented as appropriate.


  • Engineering degree and minimum 5 years job experience

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Masters degree preferred with equivalent work experience of min. 3 years in supplier quality
  • Experience in supplier selection, evaluation, and development methodologies
  • Familiar with quality systems ISO 9001
  • Familiar with quality tools like PPAP, 8DR, FMEA, RC&CA
  • Good communication and language skills (English, verbal and written)
  • Problem solves, who is flexible and creative in finding solutions
  • Proactive, flexible and positive approach is mandatory
  • Ability to quickly learn and taking initiatives
  • Ability to manage a cross-functional team (e.g. supplier, purchaser, engineering) on different levels (from blue collar worker on shop floor up to managing director of supplier company)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Driving licence B
  • Willigness to travel up to 60% of working time

Travel Activity:

Up to 65% travel within EMEA
