Job Title: Finance Reporting Manager

Location: Peterborough

Position this role reports to: Director of Finance

Job Grade: 13 (indicative)

Job Purpose:

To accurately prepare the management and financial accounts for the European region and prepare group reporting.  Advise and liaise with finance staff, other departments’ managers and colleagues, other Schenck Process Group (SPG) sites and functions, Board of Directors and external advisers.


A formal accountancy qualification is desirable

Main Duties:

  • You will process and assist in the effective preparation of the monthly UK, NL and France management accounts, including reporting to SPG
  • You will oversee and control overhead reporting for the non-manufacturing areas of the business
  • Ensure balance sheet accuracy, including maintenance of adequate prevent and detect controls
  • Be a focal point for all liaison for the group mgt and stat accounts with stakeholders
  • Provide financial analysis to aid decision making for the region
  • Ensure ordertake, invoicing and cash forecasting is accurate at the subsidiary and group level
  • Deal with various admin and reporting for company statistics, statutory accounts, SHE and other related items
  • Lead financial duties for satellite locations (currently NL and France)
  • Key member of the annual Budget preparation process, and subsequent forecasting
  • Oversee preparation of Office of National Statistics requests, as needed
  • Prepare holding company management and financial accounts
  • Manage the audit, ensuring audit schedules are accurate and timely
  • Ensure Group accounts are accurate including all consolidation adjustments for the group
  • Provide cover for Fixed assets accounting
  • Ad-hoc projects

  • Able to build relationships with colleagues both within and outside of finance
  • Experience of working in an International reporting environment
  • Detailed knowledge of procedures relating to finance, preferably in a multi-jurisdiction and projects based company
  • Knowledge of group management and financial accounting (IFRS)
  • Past experience with Epicor is helpful but not required
  • Good direct and indirect tax knowledge
  • Ability to interpret and challenge the results to provide insight for improvements
  • Knowledge of general financial and management finance procedures
  • Flexible/can do attitude
