Job Title: Capital Sales Account Manager

Location: Hybrid working with regular International travel

Position this role reports to: Sales Team Manager, Peterborough

Job Grade: 14 (indicative)

Job Purpose:

To identify, pursue and negotiate sales for the Baker Perkins capital equipment product range and support the development of the wider global business strategy.

Main Duties:

  • To establish and develop sustainable customer relationships at all organisational levels in a professional manner
  • To maintain regular direct contact with our customer base
  • To ensure awareness of our products and services with both existing and potential customers
  • To support the preparation of proposals and then to negotiate and secure orders and contracts that are profitable, commercially secure and technically sound
  • To actively manage agents, distributors and Schenck colleagues in the territory through sales and commercial support, regular performance reviews and product training
  • To identify and report market requirements to the business to support the business and R&D strategy
  • To provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the industry
  • To prepare and maintain the company CRM system, sales reports, forecasts and contact information on a regular basis and in a timely manner
  • Drive and be a role model for the company values & behaviours
  • To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, in respect of self and others

Profile:

  • Organised and tenacious self-starter able to work on their own and as part of a team
  • Export sales experience
  • Ability to think strategically to support the development of the global business strategy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to focus on objectives and outcomes
  • Potential to identify and pursue prospects and show leadership in allocating the company’s resources
  • Problem solver able to quickly understand engineering and process concepts
  • Confidence, skill and presence to successfully negotiate
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to build a profile with customers and within the group
  • Good general knowledge of the company’s products would be advantageous, but not essential

Travel:

Regular international travel
