Role Reports To

Aftermarket Service Manager

Job Purpose

To provide site-based representation across the EMEA product range of equipment in terms of mechanical/electrical service and upgrade work to the required quality and health & safety standards within the allocated time and budgeted cost.

Qualifications

Ideally, a time-served skilled electro-mechanical engineer; on site electrical and mechanical experience would be beneficial. ONC/HNC or equivalent.

Main Duties

  • To ensure that health & safety rules are adhered to and that best working practice are used at all times.
  • To ensure that the correct tools and equipment are used for the job.
  • When required, to supervise other engineers on site either employed or contracted by Baker Perkins or by the customer.
  • Produce report following each customer visit detailing work completed highlighting any issues such as technical problems, site delays, customer comments etc. This should be signed by the customer.
  • Provide hands-on mechanical/electrical engineering field support, for the full range of EMEA equipment.
  • The role focuses on all aspects of customer support through general service visits, equipment refurbishments, re-builds and upgrades, relocation of customers’ existing equipment and customer training on Baker Perkins and Kemutec equipment.
  • Promotion of lifetime support to customers and help secure new business opportunities for both Aftermarket and Original equipment projects.
  • Provide feedback on market information, customer comments and competitor details and projects.
  • As required, technically support Aftermarket activities in the office and work in the factory assembly department.
  • To maintain records of time and expenditure on site.
  • The above to be carried out anywhere in the world to suit the needs of the business.
  • To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management.
  • Be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviors.

Candidate Profile

  • Motivated individual with the ability to work alone but still be part of a team.
  • Customer focussed with excellent communication skills and a successful track record of developing customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of the existing product range would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working on customer sites.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving techniques using an analytical approach.
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel).
  • Willingness to travel (at short notice) and work on customer sites both in the UK and overseas.
  • Valid Driving License.
