For customers in the cookie, cracker, snack and pet food industries, Baker Perkins offers a complete service for rotary and wirecut dies.
As an equipment supplier with a century of experience, Baker Perkins has an unrivalled understanding of the interface between machine, die, and the product being made, and supplies dies for rotary cutting, rotary moulding, wire cutting and depositing machines of all makes. Dies can be supplied for new or existing equipment and throughout its lifetime.
Baker Perkins understands that dies are critical parts of the forming process. They set the product size, shape, weight and thickness. They impart the manufacturer’s unique design and branding, and make a significant contribution to line efficiency.
The in-depth knowledge of Baker Perkins’ process technologists coupled to the engineering expertise of our designers enables us to create rotary and wirecut dies to match customer requirements. They can be engraved with either a custom design or one chosen from our extensive catalogue.
Manufacturing using the latest design software and advanced machine tools keeps quality high and lead times to a minimum. Fast and accurate CADCAM design and engraving ensures a quick turn-around of orders and lead times have been further reduced by the introduction of 3D printing for evaluation samples.
As well as experienced design and manufacturing teams, Baker Perkins die customers have access to a fully equipped Innovation Center at Grand Rapids, Michigan where they can test-bake new designs.
The Baker Perkins Lifetime Support philosophy means service extends far beyond simply supplying a die. 3D printed samples and engraved test sleeves can be produced for pre-production review or testing while Baker Perkins also undertakes repair, recoating and reconfiguration of worn, damaged or obsolete die rolls.
Apollo Sangalang, who has joined Baker Perkins Inc. at Grand Rapids, Michigan as Rotary and Wirecut Dies Account Manager, will be at the conference. He uses his 30 years experience with specialist die companies Weidenmiller and F & S Engraving to work directly with Baker Perkins customers with die design, material selection and problem-solving. Apollo’s experience covers every aspect of die design, development, sales and manufacture.
